On a Rhapsody for Monday

Hope everyone had a good and safe weekend. We were busy each day, which also means not much downtime. Initially, I had something different for your Monday Morning Entertainment, but I may turn it into a commentary for Tuesday. Then again, that is also subject to change.

As a word, the American Heritage Dictionary defines rhapsody as an instrumental composition irregular in form and suggestive of improvisation; and, an ecstatic expression of feeling or enthusiasm. Some famous compositions include Rhapsody in Blue (Gershwin), Rhapsody on the Theme of Paganini (Rachmaninov), Hungarian Rhapsodies (Listz), and Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen … but the Muppets?

Enjoy and have a good week!

  1. Er – wasn’t the group behind “Bohemian Rhapsody” called Queen, not Qween? 😉
Hey, each generation has its’ own method of learning about classical music. If it weren’t for Bugs Bunny, I’d have no education in opera. After all, who can forget Elmer Fudd’s heart-wrenching “Kill the wabbit! Kill the wabbit!”. We all learn in our own ways.
Glad to hear you had a good weekend. And be sure to shave well tomorrow night – Tuesday’s the summer solstice, gotta get out the blue paint and dance naked around a fire!
What? Not everybody does that? I could send you video. (HIDEOUS SCREAM!!!!) 😀
    Happy Monday!

Comment with respect.
