On a Musical Drill

I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. We went to my sister-in-laws for a few good days with the family. Amazingly, we mostly encountered reasonable traffic during the 3+ hours of driving each day.

The initiation of this post came from two unrelated sources. First from Patti, the author of Learn More Everyday, who gave thanks to her dentist – yep – simply because she was better after the office visit.

The second source was a good guy named Ed, a person that I got to know well during a 2009-2010 project. Recently I have been thinking about Ed and the others at that location – then surprisingly I to a message from him. Knowing that a have an interest in the unique, he provided an interestingly link to the MozART Group, a Polish string quartet.

OK – the title of his post includes musical drill. I mentioned Patti’s thanks to her dentist and contact from an Ed in my past. For those who remember and enjoy Victor Borge, you will enjoy this musical treat. Have a good week.

  1. I LOVE it–thanks. Would my visit were so short! This clip is better than the one I thought of, the torture scene in The Running Man, but since my visit did not prove painful, I decided against posting that video. Yours is better.

  2. Oh, my God! I had to stop the video. Nonnie’s right. It was uber-scary. I hate going to the dentist. Not funny, Frank; not funny! 🙂

On another note: how does one imbed a YouTube video into a blog post? (Remember, I am not exactly the brightest star in the sky when it comes to technology, so you’ll have to keep the language simple.) 🙂

Ohhhh …. sorry about that. Heck, I spent enough time in my dentist’s chair in the past year that I expect an invitation to the office holiday party. Then again, as Patti proclaims, it’s the end result of the dentist’s work that matters.

As for as the embedding a YouTube video. Directions below. Consider practicing my embedding a video in a comment here.
      1. Copy the url of the video
      2. Type the following open bracket [
      3. Type youtube=
      4. Paste the url
      5. Type the corresponding close bracket ]

NOTE: No spaces .. it will be one long string. … Thanks for visiting!

  3. Oooh, I’m with the terrorized crowd. My childhood dentist, Dr. Dragon (no, I’m not making that up), set the pattern.

But thanks for waking me up — I was starting to fade for the evening!

  4. Pass on the video, sorry. My only acceptable state for dental work is total unconsciousness! 😀
Thursday and Friday were just weekdays, as the wife had to work. Had an interesting chat with the Pastor on Sunday, hopefully we can get something worked out on the drive. Otherwise, I’m gonna have to see if Padre Steve can set me up some naval gunfire support! 😉
    Have a good week!

    • Kay,
The piece was fun to play (for most of us, but my wife had a very boring part), and it was very pleasant too. Sure wish our choir would have recorded it for YouTube. Thanks for visiting.
