Those of us living in the eastern half of the US are having a big WOW moment regarding the ongoing streak of unseasonable weather. This is crazy – absolutely crazy – but we’ll take it!
We had a good weekend. Many thanks for all the birthday greetings for my wife – something she appreciated. We went for a nice dinner Friday night, plus hit the ballroom scene Friday and Saturday night, plus dinner with her parents on Sunday. How was your weekend?
(12:15 am addition): Woo hoo! UC Bearcats win on to the Sweet 16 with three other teams from this state!!! Toss in a few other teams from the region, it’s a happenin’ here!
This Monday Morning Entertainment feature uses a time machine to transport us all back to the late 1960s. Les, a visitor here and author of Best Bathroom Books, actually inspired this post. I’m sure he’s scratching his head at this mere thought, but knowing that he is a drummer sparked this song to go off in my head. Enjoy this tune and the trip back in time that it offers. Oh – and I still have this tune on a vinyl LP.
Have a great week.
Seriously happy way to start the week! It sounds like you had a really wonderful weekend with celebrating in a variety of ways–even the weather celebrated with you. 🙂 Debra

Best birthday wishes to your wife – very belated though! Lovely that you went out dancing two nights to celebrate and had a family dinner. Happy St Pat’s Day too! And yes, you are having some great weather there but as for us, not so good, in fact, the worst on record. When will it stop raining and could we have some warm weather before winter sets in please! xx

Spiced,
Belated wishes are always good, especially one from Australia. In terms of the weather, my memory is recalling that early 2011 was horribly wet there. In a global sense I’ve thought about distribution trends as if some place is too hot, another is too cold. If too dry, elsewhere is too wet. So I hope the situation becomes more temperamental soon. Keep us posted … and thanks for commenting.

Sounds like you had a fun weekend Frank. And the video….it fully explains why we now have entire supermarket aisles devoted to hair care products.
Enjoy your week Frank….we’re getting a rainy start here in San Antonio!

Kellie,
As the eastern US is under the dome of heat, the western US is a different story. But what we are getting is very unseasonable. Look at it this way, I think yesterday, Fargo ND was supposed to have 80 degrees … in mid-March no less! Thanks for commenting.

No kidding. Interestingly, the humidity has been high, so it feels like July or August. This afternoon I saw my first bumble bee and wasp of the season! Thanks for commenting.

And wow, I didn’t realize ballroom dancing looked so hip! 😀

Guapo,
It was a good weekend. The ballroom event we attended Saturday night probably had 200 attendees … and the one Friday night 80-90. Then again, these dancers in the video are professional, so they will look good and hip! Thanks for stopping by. (PS) I hope to display the green spaghetti soon.

So, March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb? I’m developing a serious phobia about sheep! Especially when the storm front moved through last night – it did get kinda wild and wooly around here. 😀
Glad to hear you and the, especially, the wife had a good weekend. Here’s hoping for a good week, and looking forward to the anniversary on Friday of my sanity-saving drug faves, Vicodin and Lortab!

Boy was that a blast from the past! I actually had a yellow jump suit with the great Angela Davis Afro at one time. (I also had that body at one time.) The video took me back.
I dropped by because I followed a person who was checking out my blog (didn’t leave a comment), and when I arrived at her site (Kellie with the beagle dogs), what do I find but “Frank, the Santorum/Palin/Fox News Twelve Step Progam” being administered to Kellie with a link back to me! You’re a hoot!
Thanks for spreading the word about my blog. You’re always so gracious.
Happy belated birthday wishes to Mrs. Right Angle. She seems as precious as my WW. Looks like the two of us got really lucky (or blessed). Cheers! ET
