On Monday Style

Cincinnati had wonderful weather this weekend, so we took advantage. Besides an evening on the ballroom floor, we spent Saturday with friends attending an art fair at a local sculpture park. The art fair was OK, but the sculpture park is interesting enough to serve as its own future post. Afterwards, we went to our friends house for good wine, a casual dinner, and conversation. I dedicated Sunday afternoon to yard work.

As a golfer, I enjoy watching the Ryder Cup matches. Congratulations to the Team Europe for the remarkable comeback!

What did you do this weekend? Good weather? Good times?

For some, Cincinnati weekends start with a local TV traffic reporter doing something crazy for his Dance Party Friday at 5:5o AM. This one happened live two weeks ago as he got the entire studio involved and had other locals attending. Enjoy and have a good week. Click here for the video.

  1. Dance Party looks fun to me! 🙂 And your weekend sounds like it was very enjoyable. Our weather is incendiary! Literally! But we escaped an hour and half north to Santa Barbara and a beautiful weekend. I’ll be sharing about that, too. It’s supposed to be 108 degrees tomorrow. If I don’t spontaneously combust, I’ll share about a weekend concert we enjoyed! 🙂

    • Debra,
Dance Party Friday is a regular event at Channel 12. Some are better than others, but hey, he got NFL cheerleaders to visit the studio in the early morning hours. We only had a short time in Santa Barbara as we flew in there for our trip to Paso Robles several years ago. But it seems like a place we would enjoy – so I look forward to your post. Thanks for stopping by!

  2. All sounds good there, Frank. We had a lovely Sunday lunch at my sister’s house. Our weather has been so gorgeous here, so walking by the beach was also in order. 🙂 Have a great week.

  3. Glad you had a good weekend and that the weather hasn’t turned on you yet. We’ve had a wonderful weekend and it’s been a long weekend. We’ve down very little and just relaxed and enjoyed the great outdoors. It’s been just what we needed xx

  4. ‘Morning, Frank! I wish we had a Dance Party Friday on one of our news channels. Are you going to post photos of the sculptures? Would love to see them.

I watched a bit of the Ryder Cup action, when Team USA was still in the lead. Kudos to Team Europe.

Weather was not fantastic here, damp and clammy, but I’ll take that over heat and humidity.

Yes … I will post some pics … and I hope to do so this week. 🙂 Very interestingly, especially considering it is at a private residence! Meanwhile, damp and clammy is a sign of fall. Thanks for commenting.

  5. Sounds like you had a good weekend. I’m surprised that I missed watching any of the Ryder cup I guess that says how busy our weekend was. It seemed like non stop going here and than going there. I’m kind of glad it’s Monday. :+)
Fun video I like to see people being silly and getting a little exercise at the same. I would say that’s a good thing.

  6. It was a nice weather here too during weekend, dear Frank. We were at the village again. Our house has been going on to be done/works, etc. And we were there too, and also we built our new kitchen all together 🙂 It was enjoyable… And we had dinner and tea time with our new neighbours… I took so many pictures again… Dogs are so lovely, Pasha and Haydut… They make me busy so much. Thank you dear Frank, I am glad to hear that it was a nice weekend for you too. But how I wished to visit one day your ballroom… You know I love dancing… Have a nice and enjoyable new week, love, nia

  7. Looking forward to the sculpture park photos Frank! The weather here in Seattle has been quite nice as well, possibly misleading for our out-of-town guests. We need news people with a sense of humor like your traffic guy, that was great!

  8. We had pretty decent weather 80 miles south of you here in Lexington, as well. However, we did NOTHING exciting. NOTHING, I say! Aren’t we boring? A couple of aging ladies who like to read and hang out with our dogs! Alas!
    Hugs,
    Kathy

    • Kathy,
Low-key weekends are fine … so please don’t sell them short! Meanwhile, glad to know that you aren’t too far away! Heck, you may enjoy a nice day at that sculpture park with the dogs … and I hope to post more this week about it. Thanks for commenting.

  9. I had great plans for the weekend – unfortunately, reality intruded rather rudely. On the plus side, I think I have now officially weed-whacked half of the town of Fresno! (No great feat, considering I’ve been in bigger train stations! 😀 )
Here’s hoping for a quiet week – for us both! 😉

  10. ughh. it’s either raining or muggy here. right now, it’s pouring, and the dog needs to go out so she can have her dinner. unfortunately, she can’t go out without me, so either she’ll get pissed off, or i’ll get drenched. put your money on the latter. 😉

  11. We too had great weekend weather, went to go see the grand kids in their small towns homecoming parade as first grader and kinder-gardener. Then Sunday a country drive to the Baraboo Hills for leaf color splendor, colors are peaking here, and this is one of the best years for yellow and red that I can remember. Must have been the long growing season, the drought, and the very slow cooling down, but the color is fantastic. Abtwixt had a great post on the fall subject.
