Greetings everyone. The final weekend before Election Day is over, which means Election Day is closer – and we get to see more drug ads soon! Can you remember the last commercial you saw about erectile dysfunction? Oh wait – those of you in non-swing states may have seen them! Then again, Christmas commercials will descend on us like an avalanche.
How was your weekend? Believe it or not, no ballroom time for us this weekend as we sacrificed our dance shoes to attend a retirement party for a friend. The rest of our weekend included a free day at the Cincinnati Zoo, dinner at friends, trips to the grocery store, ushering at church, and an afternoon with the leaves.
Also this weekend, it was interesting to see how few people ever heard of Clyde Crashcup from my classic cartoon post. I’m overwhelmed by the crushed feeling from that post.
Because I have to focus on a project, my time to your blogs will be limited this week. Just wanted you to know … but I plan a full week of posting – including an Election Night post – and will try to get to visit what I can.
Meanwhile, enjoy this fun video with the great ending. Have a good week!
I posted a photo on Facebook that I took of all of the political flyers I’ve accumulated in just 4 days of mail. So many of them and such a waste of paper! I look forward to voting, but I also look forward to this election being over. As a fellow Ohioan, I know you understand. 🙂

The first time I saw that mouse dancing was when I moved to Spain, it was with a local song, not good at all, the lyrics are x rated and that made it funnier that time.
Have a nice week

I can’t remember the last time I saw a political ad, a drug ad, or a christmas ad. I got rid of the TV years ago and would never consider replacing it. 😉
Hope you have a great week Frank, and Wednesday well get here…it only FEELS like it won’t!

Like the video. Reminds me of that saying, “The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese”.
And I hope there isn’t any electile dysfunction n Florida this time around, there are already several lawyers circling in the distance.
LikeLike
Fasab,
The lawyers are circling both of our states like vultures for a big payday. Just wonder if I will observe any obnoxious poll observers tomorrow. After all, Ohio is one of the states that also enacted some voter ID legislation to protect against fraud that either didn’t exist or only a few at best. For whatever reason, I’m bracing for the worst tomorrow. Meanwhile, glad you enjoyed the video! … and thanks for stopping by.

The real winners of all the political campaigns? (besides the drug companies….) is the printers and those who sell ink!
It’s rather nice not watching TV…and your post gives some good reason to keep it turned off?
Fun post, thanks
LikeLike
Mouse,
No doubt that the printers are doing well with campaigns … as are the commercial developers. Interestingly, the television stations don’t do as well because they sell time to the campaigns at a low price. Thanks for commenting.

Frank, I don’t think I would have done it neither … to not be able to see the show – and understand why everyone are so excited. People was standing up and screaming like Michael Jackson had been on the stage himself.

Oh, the video–how awful. Poor mouse. That was a swat, all right.
Just heard on CNN that Romny has decided to stop in Pitsburgh and Cleveland on Tuesday. YOu may only live 75 miles north of me, but oh what a difference those miles make during this election.
Hope you have a great week, Frank.
Hugs,

Forget Swing States,I live in Canada and have seen at least 5,000 political TV ads in the last 30 days. I’d say at least 65% of the ads I see on American stations (Detroit, Seattle) are political.
One or two of them have actually been somewhat decent!

Sedate,
Well … true, Canadians are subject to US stations … then again, you have alternatives. Being in the swing state of swing states, I wish I could be forgotten in this election. Thanks for commenting.

do you feel anything being in ohio? do you feel used? pandered to? special? wanted? pressed? how do you feel on election eve?
LikeLike
Rich,
Great questions. One I don’t feel wanted or special because I think abused fits best. As I’ve said on numerous occasions, as a social liberal and a fiscal conservative, each party wants my vote, but they don’t want my policies. Bottom line, on election eve I can’t wait until its over.
But I have two worries. 1) Litigation … 2) delay in Ohio. For instance, it is is too close to call, provisional ballots don’t get counted for about 10 days. Actually a judge is involved on Wednesday. In other words, more YUK!
thanks for asking.
