Purpose of this Foolishness

As we celebrate his birth today
Many of us have something to say.
He danced naked on a bar
And drove for a sandwich from afar,
So many cheers to El Guapo with a thunderous hooray.

Happy birthday to a one of the blogosphere’s good guys – the master of Friday FoolishnessEl Guapo! For your birthday, I sense you would enjoy this ride.

  1. What a foolish post. I must say that I’ll be trying to work ‘flapdoodle’ into conversations at all available opportunities from now on, what a great word! An as for the Lone Ranger, what was he thinking about all those years hanging around with a fool? Liked hearing a bit of Van the Man, but if you don’t mind I’ll give flyboarding a miss. Well done!

Ah yes … It’s the Lone Ranger, with Chief Poppycock. No problem on passing on Flyboard because the birthday honoree will be willing to take anyone’s place! Thanks for commenting.

  4. Oh, fabbo post! I love this quote: Foolishness is indeed the sister of wickedness. But since I am wickedness, does that make Guap0 a cross-dresser? *giggles* Great song!

    Happy birthday, Guaposis!

    • Kayjai,
Welcome first-time commenter! Ah yes … one of the benefits of meeting people at parties. But please … in this case, “Angle” is a noun – but a name … whereas “Frank” is an adjective, but actually my name. Thanks for stopping by. Not only nice meeting you, hope we meet again.

    • Carrie,
I did that in AFA style – that is a lot of trivial information that might come in handy once in the next 50 years. Then again, not sure I recall the languages I used. Thanks for visiting.

GWB provide many “interesting” quotes – then again, given the amount of time that position gets in front of a microphone, the odds are good no matter the person. Thanks for commenting.

    • John,
I’ve visited many of the celebration sites, and foolishness is a key word, thus I know I’m in line. Nonetheless, I’m sure he appreciates your birthday greeting! Thanks for doing so!

      • No problem – managed to squeeze it in after catching and returning yet another stray animal, a wonderful Sammy/Collie cross. Something tells me he’ll be back, since he’s proven prone to wander and has found me – the stray magnet. Maybe I’ll try to “will” all my various repeat-return strays to all show up in 16 days, so we can have a great party for a certain goat-deprived animal lover! 😉

Welcome first-time commenter and fellow party thrower. I stumbled across the pic last night and thought PERFECT. Birthday boy hasn’t stopped by here yet as I imagine work is getting in the way. Nonetheless, he’ll appreciate it. Thanks for stopping by.

  5. To get the song and the birthday wishes would have been more than enough to put a grin on my face.
To get the full-on Frank Angle etymological expose? I can’t put words to the honor.

    Thank you!!!

    • Hey hey … It’s Birthday Man! …. El Guapo is in the house!

I know I couldn’t have written in your style, so then the idea come to mimic in my style … and the ideas started to flow! Meanwhile, to be reached out by the others was quite the honor for me … plus I’ve been trying to party hop as much as possible!

But hey … what about the Flyboard video?!!! 😉 … Happy Birthday and enjoy your journey across the blogs … plus your personal celebration.

Hey! Damn right he’s “unknown.” Coward. No man would ever have the courage to say that to a woman’s face. (catching breath) AND ANOTHER THING …

That’s why you used that quote, huh? Great post, Frank. (exits with tail between legs)

    • Linda,
Welcome to a first-time commenter here. Good example of networking at a party! The cerebral approach to foolishness is definitely in my style .. well, creative fiction is definitely not me … but as you can tell, my little corner of the world covers a lot of things, including regular features on Monday, most Wednesdays, Friday, and many Saturdays. Hope you return and thanks for stopping by for the party here!

Nice post! I think it’s funny we both mentioned the naked dancing and the drive for the cheesesteak!
