    • Vanessa,
When I’ve done other salutes to a number, I usually give me factoids. But, I did only 60 for myself, after all, I’ve been doing this blog for 4+ years and never officially disclosed my birthday …. well, other then the cryptic, embedded clues. Many thanks for the greeting from across the pond!

It’s my man from California who needs to go to Capps Corner for dinner! 🙂 The fact that you took the time for a greeting is special indeed. Many thanks … and I hope all is well with you.

  1. Happy Birthday, Frank, and welcome to the 60 club!

Glad to see you included “Sixty Minute Man” in your list. This song is one of the core “beach music” songs, a genre of music popular in the Carolina beaches to which everyone danced “the shag” which was a slow jitterbug. Here’s a link to the song, if anyone wants to listen.

  2. Happy Birthday Frank! You’ll surely have more than 60 happy birthday wishes and hopefully you’ll have less than 60 slices of birthday cake. And in the spirit of baby boomers I’m singing “60 candles” instead of “16 candles”.

  3. Happy Birthday Frank!

Even though I am not a numbers girl, I do love your numbers posts — especially when they mean that you’re celebrating with us, your blogging buddies.

I’m wishing you many more, Frank. ;0

Alright … an Aussie birthday greeting! We had a good day. Unfortunately we cancelled the party, thus did something spontaneous, thus off to the museum followed by dinner. Thanks again for the greeting.

Woo hoo … A birthday video from beautiful San Diego. We had a good day as we went to the Cincinnati Museum Center then dinner. At the museum we saw a wonderful Omnimax about Monarch butterflies and then went to the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit. Thanks for the greetings!

  4. Happy 60th Birthday Frank! It’s been awhile. Love the numbers and facts about No. 60.

Another one would be Chuck Bednarik, who wore No. 60 for the Philadelphia Eagles and was the last of the players who played on both sides of the ball at center and linebacker. Also, he helped lead the Eagles to their last championship to date in the year 1960.

    Hope all is well buddy!

Woo hoo … another Pioneer stopping by from North Carolina. I also saw your note that you missed my mentioning of Bednarik (Wow, what a player!) Meanwhile, thanks for stopping by and surprising me! Hope all is well with you.

I’ve always kept my birthday hidden on this blog. Never lying, but never disclosing. So, this was a chance to surprise the regulars! Loved the video about Mercury … and thanks for the greetings from Texas.

I’ve kept it well disguised for 4+ years … although there are hints throughout the blog. So, because this was a milestone, I decided to spill the beans. Thanks for greetings from Florida.

  5. Ahh, I saved this post because I wanted time to nerd out over all the wonderful info about the number 60, and some quiet time to listen to one of my favorite happy birthday songs– and then just realized that meant I missed your birthday! Shame on me! Happy Birthday, Frank!!! 😀

Glad this post was able to appeal to your nerd side! 😉 …. and then I sneaked my birthday in at the end. For a guy who hasn’t disclosed his birthday in the 4+ years of this blog, I loved the surprise party on the readers! Thanks for the greeting.

  6. birthday? 60? no way. since you mentioned “60 minutes,” did you know that it’s the only television show to ever NOT have a theme song?

you mentioned 60 minutes in a degree. is it not also 60 seconds in a minute?

    • Rich,
Interesting, but I consider the tic tic tic tic a theme song …. not a tune for the radio, but still the theme song. 😉 Yes, 60 seconds are in a minute, but, I stuck to only 60 factoids for this post. …. and yes, Sunday was my 60th birthday. 🙂

According to one calculation, that would be 7.6 ft! Meanwhile, I could have posted more about 60, but kept it to 60 for the celebration. Hope you learned something.

  7. It looks like I just missed your birthday. That’s okay, because you just missed mine too. I turned 56 on March 5. It wasn’t that happy. Too soon after the loss of the two people who made it happen.

    Hope your day was happy.

A belated Happy Birthday to you … and tough to celebrate with two recent losses. Interestingly, we had a birthday open house planned, but cancelled it because of a loss of a friend. But, we adjusted and had a good day. Thanks for the greeting.

  8. I love this, Frank. This is totally engaging – all those facts. The Glorious and Exalted One, I have not ever heard of. How long this took you, I do not know but it is VERY interesting.

Oh, I do love the number 3. Love it! If you did a special on 3s, you’d only need to think of three comment worthy attributes… or 6, or maybe 9.

    ~ HAPPY BIRTHDAY ~

I know I’m late, but I do believe in better than never. Cheers!

Many thanks for the greeting! 🙂 Glad you enjoyed this one. I’ve done other posts like these about numbers. (In the sidebar, see Categories > Numbers). I believe the lost number I’ve done is 17, as I have a tendency to stick to higher numbers. But I will consider one of your requests. 🙂
