FYI: For this post, Steve selected the photos and determined the theme. I, without seeing the pictures, wrote the text to his theme, and then he inserted the pictures. Next time, I’m determine the theme, which will be Connections.

Steve is a long-time friend and a good guy. I encourage you to visit his site to see his photos, which are available for purchase. He will also respond to comments here when he can, so feel free to ask him questions.

  1. Great collaboration. You made me think of one of my favorite quotes by Einstein: “When a man sits with a pretty girl for an hour, it seems like a minute. But let him sit on a hot stove for a minute—and it’s longer than an hour. That’s relativity.”

  2. Great collaborative piece. Beautiful pictures by Steve. Especially like Patti’s quote from Einstein. The title set off “Time keeps … Ticking off into the future ” – Steve Miller band from memory.

  3. I love this one, Frank! One of my favorites. It’s interesting how you collaborated with the artist. I would have thought it was all carefully planned. I love this line, “Time is something that passes and does not stop, yet people try to manage it.” We try so hard, don’t we?

  6. Wow, Frank! This is a wonderful collaboration. The words and images complement each other so well. I love the way you did this, blind in a way. Well done to you both!

  7. Frank, these pictures are absolutely fantastic. I love the grey and bit of colour – the piano, the house, the ravaged by time.

Time as a subject fascinates me. You’ve written of something which fascinates me, and written dreamily on it. Like this very much.

    Love Victoria’s comment “timeless”…

  9. Brilliant! I love when you get your philosophy on, Frank.

Time is our constant companion, and the fire in which we all burn.

  10. I am lovin’ the theme-oriented blogs. These pics are amazing. I loved old homes and things that show the intricacies of time. I have this old wooden shed in my backyard. Everyone says I should paint it. I am never gonna paint it – because a) I’m lazy and b) I like that it looks old and imperfect. Sometimes the beauty is in the cracks and the chips of paint and the imperfections. Thanks for sharing.

    • Teeny,
This was an interesting collaboration, and kudos to Steve for the photos. Yep, there is something about old that brings out its own beauty … just like your old shed. Glad you enjoyed this post.
