On Satire Bits: Vol. 48

Snow flurries have been in the air for the past two days. Fortunately, the temperature is warm enough that nothing sticks. On the bright side, temps are due to move upward into the weekend.

For your midweek dose of satire, let’s continue the creative challenge (for those desiring) by taking the information in the headlines (and only in the headlines) to make a new headline. Any ideas?

Otherwise, any favorites in the list? Enjoy, and have a good rest of the week!

  1. OK, I’m a woos. But this is one of my pet peeves: Photo of crying woman on cover of national newspaper — Because they always have to have pictures of folks crying. It’s disgusting.

    • Carrie,
No kidding … especially when the newspaper is in Spanish because I don’t know that language. Then again, I can understand a picture of a naked woman in a Spanish newspaper.

  2. This is my favorite as originally posted: Man who willingly rented Wrath of the Titans feels his intelligence has been insulted

  3. I like ‘Cocky attempt to operate ATM in Spanish backfires’. Not only because it contains the word ‘cocky’, which is an awesome word, but also because I once made a cocky attempt to operate my cell phone in Portuguese. This cocky attempt was rather short lived….

    Happy mid-week Frank!

  5. I don’t know about headlines and all that, thanks to my amazing schedule, I am never up to date with the news anymore. But I can say this, your ideas and your posts are always almost as wonderful as you are as a person.
    ALMOST! 😉
