Last month I tried something new (for me) by having a blog-style musical. To my surprise, Time: The Musical, featuring songs with “time” in the title, was a big hit with over 70 songs.
The success got the tumblers in my mind turning, so instead of changing to a totally different theme, continue Time: The Musical with a different requirement for Act 2!
For Act 2, supply a song (a video) featuring a song with a specific time in the song’s title – not in the lyrics or the performer’s name, but in the title. I will be interested to see the different interpretations because looking beyond the obvious can be your friend.
The same rule as Act 1 applies – no duplicates.
To get the show started, I’m going back into the time capsule to feature a classic song by a classic performer. Bloggers everywhere, let’s give a big AFA welcome to the legendary Count Basie with the One O’Clock Jump!

This is were thinking outside the box comes in because as judge and jury of the rules, “summertime” is a specific time. Besides, I didn’t want to make it too difficult … plus I knew you would enjoy those chops.

Yes. THe blues are the root of all. You should check out the album that sing is on. Colin did this one 20 years ago and is a swing album with his versions of some classics and a few of his own. Very under rated player.
