The Story
Time – The Musical is an original A Frank Angle production featuring songs about time.
Program (Past posts)
Act 1: Time
Act 2: Specific Time
Act 3: Years
Act 4: Months
Act 5: Days and Weekdays
Act 6: Weekends
Act 7
Act 7 only features songs with hour(s) in the song title; but the challenge for attendees is no duplicates.
Production Note
It has come to my attention that past acts have crashed browsers. Please 1) include the song title and artist in your text, and 2) paste the URL as part of your last line. The latter will provide a link, thus not embed the actual video. But I don’t mind unembedding.
Announcement
Ladies and gentlemen, to kickoff Act 7, a grand AFA welcome to a classic musician and member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame playing the Midnight Hour Blues – let’s hear it for Eric Clapton.
Can I be first with this one with Gladys Knight and the Pips, Midnight Train to Georgia? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IdfZnWsps34

Elyse,
Absolutely … and that’s a good choice! Let me guess – another song John doesn’t like.

He didn’t run screaming from the room just now when I found the link, so I think this one is a keeper. Until I get it stuck in my head, that is!

Upon further review, midnight is a specific time … moved to Act 2.

He is a Canuck staple. I think that album is 20 years old now, great record. He is normally a blues style guitar guy, but took a twist into the swing sound, and still goes back to it every now and then. Good Saskatchewanite.

John,
Thanks for the laughter … and the cranky producer is also appreciative. Listening to all the tunes is what I enjoy about this series. Always quite the variety!

That was a great show, wasn’t it. He can still sing and play and has a good time doing it.

Melanie,
If memory serves me correctly, this is Merle’s first appearance in this series. Unfortunately, no “hour” in the title … but it qualifies for Act 2 – Specific Time …. so, given that it’s your first visit in this series, here’s Gene Pitney with 24 Hours from Tulsa … http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L8Hvzeut-VE

You requirements did not use quotation marks around the word “hour.” Clearly it was not clear that the word “hour” had to appear in the title. I will appeal this to a judge.

Frank – this is just the ticket for relaxing after a rough week (and not just the US/World scene).
Brain dead or I’d add something (you nixed “9 to 5”)…probably from Sesame Street – there’s bound to be one?
Considering everything not sure if these fit the quest’s requirements.
An olde hymn: “Sweet Hour of Prayer”
Have a great weekend!

Mouse,
Your are on target in many ways. First of all, the song fits because “hour” is in the title. Second, great point about rough week. Third, love the fact of another genre added to the mix!

That’s an old hymn heard in farming communities – not just on Sundays. My post today reminded me of how my dad used to sing it – and then your post prompted me to go find it. WIn- win!
