All of us recognize that news is full of bad news. However, many good stories and good people exist. Enjoy, visit as many as you want, and I hope you comment on the post you visited.

  1. These sound like wonderful posts, my friend. However, I don’t think I’m going to get to comment tonight. Our 20 foot container arrived a couple of hours ago, and we are deep in boxes. Hope you’re enjoying your break!

  2. Goodness abounds. I woke up this morning thinking about love. This is what I wrote about those thoughts:

“Have you ever broken a mercury thermometer? While unbroken, the slim straw of glass holds a bit of mercury in place and together, a single “piece” of mercury, useful and whole. If you break the thermometer, the mercury may spray across the surface in a thousand pieces, no longer useful to you. But the mercury does NOT go away. It is still mercury. If the mercury gets on you, even accidentally, you will be affected by the mercury, even if only in very small ways.

“If someone gives you a gift of love, and you break it, tear it into a thousand pieces, you have not destroyed love. It is still there. Like the mercury, it does not go away. You may not be able to use it anymore, but it exists. And if it gets on you, even accidentally, you now will be affected by it, even if only in very small ways.

“Love goes on. We still love, even when others have shredded our gifts into a thousand pieces. Love doesn’t go out of the universe, just because others ignore it, or even attempt to destroy it. Love goes on.”

    Peace to you.

  3. All inspiring stories and people. They are lessons in life for us all. Young Brandon reminded me of the loss in our family of a young person named Nolan to leukemia. He still touches many with his legacy.
