  1. Is it your birthday Frank, and are you now the famous “61”? I would not want to be the one, who did not say Happy Birthday. (If it is not your birthday, please apply these wishes to the correct day this year). ;-D

      • It just had to be… why try and hide it… I hope you have many many more Frank and it feels quite nice to get closer the scores we play in golf, a few years older than you but not many.. but in 15 odd years I might be able to play to my age…

        • Playing one’s ago has got to tough to accomplish, when for those who make it happen, wonderful!

My cryptic side is one of the things that kick in on my birthday. Last year I a similar post about 60, but it was 60 tidbits about 60 … and the last one revealed the day …and that was the first time I celebrated my birthday here on the actual day. Other number tributes for my birthday weren’t on the day itself … and sometimes months later. I guess that’s one of my personal quirks. Here’s 60 …. https://afrankangle.wordpress.com/2013/02/17/on-60/

  2. “61”, altmışbir…. Wonderful post. As Diogenes Laertius tells us about life of Pythagoras, he divides the life of man thus. A boy for twenty years ; a young man for twenty years; a middle-aged man for twenty years; an wise man for twenty years. 🙂 Happy Birthday dear Frank, I wish all the best in your new age…. I am coming soon behind yours too! Thank you, love, nia

Your special day seems to be filled with “do this-do that”, and it sounds as if you are going to appreciate this present in song and sunshine I found for you. Personally, I’m with Carrie’s comment…quiet is best.

  5. I gather it’s your birthday. Happy Birthday, Frank! 🙂 I had to hop over to Dogfish Head to check out that beer. M and I have been to Dogfish Head Brewpub in Rehoboth recently, and I couldn’t remember Sixty-One until I read the description. I’ll have to try it next time we’re there. I like IPA’s. Not sure about wine in my beer, but I’m game. After all, I used to brew Spruce Beer using the new spring growth from the spruce tree, and other “weird beers” with herbs and spices. Why not wine?

    • Robin,
It’s amazing all the flavors that brewers conjure up with beer! Meanwhile, glad I was able to give you something to try in the future. Thanks for popping over to deliver a birthday greeting!

    Oops. 8! + 1 = 40,321. That’s the square of 61, plus 1. But, that’s interesting too.

It is 61 miles from somewhere in Joplin, MO to Alice Walton’s Crystal Bridges art museum in Bentonville Arkansas, a distance we covered in approximately 61 minutes today. It was glorious (including lunch!) and we highly recommend it to all. 🙂

Many thanks for the birthday cheers. My wife was saying last night about the mundane nature of my day, but hey – it just happens that those things are on my plate this year … and hopefully not next!
