Announcement
We sought the help of the Way-Back Machine to open Act 2. Ladies and gentlemen, we have transported you back to 1962, so let’s hear those screams and cheers … singing I Was Born to Cry … Dion!
Here’s one of my favorites, Frank. Springsteen, Born in the USA. http://youtu.be/lZD4ezDbbu4
Once I was driving three kids to school in Switzerland. This song came on and I watched them, with their heads thrown back and their mouths wide open, like those of baby birds, singing this with all of their hearts. Not a one of the three had, in fact, been Born in the USA!

Elyse,
A fabulous song that serves as a pop anthem. Love your story of the kids, then again, that song doesn’t fit for me either.

This is by one of my all-time favorite bands, Frank, The Talking Heads. Here’s “Born Under Punches”: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ilcD1fHcGB0 Hard to believe that this song is almost 34 years old. I had yet to move to New York when this album, Remain in Light, was released.

Lame,
Although it’s an old song, I don’t know this one … but hey … I do recall you using the Talking Heads recently here! However, I’m surprised you didn’t use this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49EoV50oba0

MICHIGAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love that frog, Frank! I was sucked more into the word “born” than the word “baby”. I blame the phlegm for clouding my mind.

In my humble opinion, every musical act should start with Billy Joel. Here he teams up with Ray Charles for “Baby Grand”: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SxA1UoCGrs

Following, but in the midst of preparing to go away.
Partial to all things ‘Talking Heads’. Steppenwolf’s ‘Born To Be Wild’; may have or may have not have listened to from the backseat of my ’76 candy apple red Cutlass Supreme when I wasn’t alone.
For myself, Ray Charles and Billy Joel, along with Tony Bennett and KD Lang seemed at the time odd, but both turned out to be good choices.
