Welcome to my 2014 Holiday/Christmas Party for my friends, their guests, and whoever stops by!
In the spirit of the holiday season, this gathering is for everyone: Christians, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Atheists, Agnostics, and others. I say everyone because I’m a firm believer that the majority of the world is good – and that is in spite of all the crap we get from the news each and every day … so peace and goodwill to the global community of goodness!
My wish is for guests to get a gift and mingle with others – which also means gifts can be traded! Then again, it may be the perfect gift for someone you know.
Plus, there’s more …. Santa will arrive around 3:00 PM Sunday (Eastern US) to allow everyone to state their wishes. He’ll be in the Comments, so reply to him there.
The Comments area will also serve as the Entertainment Stage, so stay tuned.
This is going to be a bit crazy for both readers and hosts, so I request your patience!
Overview
- Behind each number is a surprise gift.
- Only one gift per person.
- Once the number (gift) is taken, it’s no longer available (next note is important)
- While I hope to strike-through taken numbers, I must sleep and run errands – so I request readers check the comments before taking a number. (See the Update note above the numbers for my strike-through progress.)
Directions
- Pick (click) an available number for your surprise gift.
- In your comment, type your number (hopefully on its own line so all can see it).
- Tell everyone about your gift.
- If necessary, bargain a trade with someone else.
Positive cheers to all in the spirit goodness for the season! Have fun!!!!

Ah it appears I am the first one to the party. I have most excitedly chosen present number 1.
My gift is a Super Sweet Onion Nalgene Water Bottle valued at $12.oo. Being an avid camper I will never take this priceless water bottle with me since it reeks of onions. Now I am not ungrateful, I just don’t want to scare the bears off with me breath.

SUPERB GIFT, aFa, HOW DID YOU KNOW? I chose #67 and received the Onion’s framed and matted screeching headline: “Supreme Court Overturns ‘Right V. Wrong’.” It is the right size and colour. It looks good on me and doesn’t make me look like a chunkey-monkey. I wear it well. If anyone out there is thinking about a trade or out-and-out thievery…
don’t. Just don’t.
Thank you, Frank.

YAY … I got a fabulous gift. I’m going to be selfish and keep it. It’s perfect.
It’s The End Bookend. You all have to know that I love to read. Ahhh … yes, I have a kindle for my reader now-a-days but this End Bookend is for those those special books I have in my collection of real books. Remember them ????
My clever – The End Bookend – will lend some dramatic structure to my personal library.
According to their description …. It’s made from strong steel that’s been precision-cut and handsomely powdercoated. So don’t be crushed by the weight of all your books – organize them!
WOW .. my books are going to be very happy!!!!
Now … is you’ll excuse me there are some rockin’ videos that I need to cut a rug with.

Good Evening Isadora from Florida, I am quite interested in your gift “The End Bookend” and was wondering if possible you may consider a trade. Now I was lucky enough to be given a “Super Sweet Onion Nalgene Water Bottle”. Being that you are in Florida, surrounded by salt water, I’m sure a water bottle would come in handy, plus there is the added bonus of the flavour. Maybe we can talk?

Hopefully you won’t need those bandages for the wounds that the 2015 season my provide. I think we’ll be ok as long as the GM used the latest moves to prepare the way for the next additions.

I’m not good at commenting all the time but I stop by regularly! As for the Reds, 2015 isn’t looking overly optimistic, esp. when you consider what the rest of the division has done so far. We need a big bat for the outfield, we need Bruce & Votto to be good, we need Bailey to not suck, we need Cueto to stay healthy, and we need some of the young pitchers to keep the ball in the ballpark. And we also need the Cubs to underperform, the Cardinals to finally stop performing, the Pirates to return to ineptitude, and the Brewers to go back to the bottom of the division. Sure seems like a lot of needs right now!
LikeLike
Well … that pretty much sums it up. I’m going to keep the course that with improved offensive production in LF, RF, and 1B, the Reds can contend. In other words, I’m thinking recent trades were done as a setup to address LF – but time will tell. Last year, GM Walt said that the answer to the offensive woes was to get more out of the guys they had … and that surely worked out. 😦 … and he recently said the same thing about the bullpen. YIKES!

What a fun way to kick off the party! I was out at another party last night and am a little tired this morning, but Siddy is up and at ’em and the day is unusually clear and sunny so we may get a walk in before the clouds gather, the wind rises and the rain falls! I brought some of my famous Chicago-style deep dish pizza. I only make it over the holidays. There is, of course, enough for everyone. One is for folks like me who prefer veggies and has the usual onions, peppers, and garlic, along with olives, artichoke hearts, and mushrooms. The other is for the carnivores in the group and has a really good Italian sausage and pepperoni. Both have plenty of cheese (because what’s a pizza without cheese??), the crust is homemade and so is the sauce. Enjoy. 🙂

A truly heartwarming story. I had no idea soldiers did things like that. They really do go – on and beyond – the call of duty. Thanks, Santa. : ) ❤

I know I’m late to the party, but it’s still very crowded in here! ⭐ ⭐

It’s a coffee mug with “I often make light of my chemical dependence on caffeine” . ⭐
Strange, but I did request new coffee mugs for Christmas.
Although the truth would be … I make light of my chemical dependence on anything … well even peanut butter can have brutal effects. “LOL”
Great party, Frank. Thank you! You are the host with the most. ⭐ ⭐ _Resa

Karma … simply a lot of karma … after all, how else can a need for a new coffee mug be met with a random draw!

Elyse,
I had loads of fun doing this. It’s time consuming, but fun. Bottom line is that I appreciate the good people that I’ve encountered on this pages – especially the long-timers as yourself!

I just spent the better part of 3 hours watching Jimmy Fallon vs the rest of the celebrity world on Youtube. Can’t stand Ms Carey but Jim Carey isn’t too bad…As for Santa…Santa got the moves Mr Frank. Santa never looked so fly!

I can honestly say that this is the first I’ve heard of Krampus, so I did a quick read … and how did I ever miss this one. Oh well … but I couldn’t find any good Krampus dancing videos.

Hello Frank. I’m glad I made it in time. I’ve had something of an absence from my blog and haven’t been keeping up with others’ blogs but saw your name come up and thought I’d check out what you’re up to. Well, woohoo!
I landed on 23 and pulled out a book of insults and comebacks. I’m rather hoping there’s a section devoted to Shakespeare as he surely is the undisputed king of the insult and some of them can be used in jest (or for real about a detestable third party – Australia’s prime minister for example).
Happy Christmas.

Happy Holidays, Frank!! I chose number 3 and got, “Free Thinking Cat Shits Outside The Box Magnet.” Horray! It’s silly and funny. Bad kitty! I’m willing to trade it, however, if someone is dying to have this. I don’t want to give my cats the wrong idea, after all. Thanks for the great party, Frank!

I’m so late for this, but as Blanche would say, better late than pregnant, specially if you are a guy.
This is a great idea as usual.
I’m gonna pick 70, I loved the idea of the mug.
Would be nice if you could customize the prescription drug, mine would be Vicodin and I would drink Vodka out of it.

Leo … hooray … The Spanish race walker has arrived after a trip to Mexico. Hopefully your biological clock is normalizing. … and oh that Blanche sure had many a quips in her day!
It seems the mug is fitting for you … and in terms of your drink, don’t become a bartender. 😉

I’m really late to this party. What a party it is though. I was out of town in NY for work, but happened to make an AHL hockey between Rochester and Hamilton that went to a thrilling finish and OT win for the Amerks.
Anyway, I picked #34 which was Walter Payton’s number, my favorite NFL player of all-time as you know.
I got Bendy Mr. Bacon Toy. It says it wants to accompany on my adventures. I also know quite a few that are bigger bacon fans than me, and would probably be jealous of want to fight over this gift. LOL.
BTW, very genius idea here! Happy Holidays!
