The Story
Meals: The Musical is an original aFa production is about an important aspect of daily life – eating.
Whether it is snack, something on the run, a glorious sit-down feast, or something in between and regardless of the time of day, food is a life necessity. There are three aspects to a truly fantastic meal: the food, the occasion, and the company. We know Meals: The Musical is a festive occasion where friends to gather to share wonderful music – thus the acts will focus on what the dining friends will encounter.
Program
Act 1: Meals
Act 2
Besides being rewards, fruits are products from plants. They are natural … most are sweet and nutritious – refreshing and a sign of a season. Yet, from fruits we produce many other items for our use. Whether as stand alone, an accompaniment, or a flavoring, fruits are an important part of life.
This act features songs with fruit(s) or any nutritional fruit in the title, but tomato(es), nut(s), and type of nuts are not acceptable.
Production Note
To prevent browsers crashing from loading too many videos, please 1) include the song title and artist in your text, and 2) paste the URL as part of your last line (not a new line). The latter will provide a link, thus not embed the actual video … but I don’t mind unembedding, so apologies are not necessary.

Hey there! Sooo many songs came to mind. How to choose? Well, as a big fan of Prince, I had to go with Raspberry Beret… the guy truly protects his work so the only one I could find has no cool video to go with! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xATUw_ZVTzQ
And all day I kept thinking of the funny kid’s song Apples and Bananas https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVjYHRi9Esg

i didn’t forget about you … but I’ve been working on this for over 90 minutes while listening to the other songs & commenting to others. Raspberry Beret (Prince) is a classic .. many thanks. Interestingly, I can see this video (thus can’t hear the song) – so I imagine others in the US can’t. Plus, other than karaoke versions and covers, not much out there … but hey … for those who can’t see the video and want the song – here it is http://grooveshark.com/#!/s/Raspberry+Beret/4kEmjX?src=5 … and thanks for the grins with Apples and Bananas.

Fair warning. It is blues on the risque side for those with sensitive tastes.

Watermelon Man https://youtu.be/vjJaH40rArU This video is funny. It isn’t the original but I like the ending. The woman rules.
The 2nd video is of my hubby x-band. He played with this band when they were a jazz band. When they went Latin he played with them for awhile then left them for the smikey jaxzz clubs of the village. They made 3 albums but never became famous. Here’s the song –

But that’s not my choice… Stevie-boy was born in Liverpool in the U.K. and at the age of 4 he was forcibly evicted from his home and moved down “sarf” to the bottom of Auld Blighty where he was just in time to be greeted by the Osmonds latest greatest hit “Long haired lover from Liverpool” and be teased mercilessly in lieu of his cultural heritage and was never able to listen to an Osmonds song in full without twitching severely (as most of us do when forced to listen to any Osmonds song for any length of time) again. I noticed that Google handed me an Osmonds song in my search this morning and as I am late to the party anyway (can’t help being a day ahead of you Mr Frank 😉 ) I thought that some of your dear constant readers might like to take a foxtrot down memory lane and I posted it early enough that poor Stevie-boy won’t be at all traumatised by my treachery 😉 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DlFQvbHVk5o (One Bad Apple, The Osmonds)
