M.A.S.H had one. So did Seinfeld, Friends, Dallas, Star Trek: The Next Generation, The Fugitive, St. Elsewhere, Newhart, and The Mary Tyler Moore Show. Did you know that Howdy Doody, Leave It to Beaver, and Route 66 also had them? Because of long presence of Monday Morning Entertainment here, it deserves a series finale!
Although the first Monday Morning Entertainment appeared on January 12, 2009, it didn’t become a regular feature until late August 2009. I designed the feature to start the week on a light-hearted note … and hopefully a laugh and/or a smile. Now, – post #256 – the finale. To me – through the help of animals, comedians, movie scenes, personal oddities, and more – mission accomplished .. thus a special Thank you to You Tube.
How was your weekend? We had family visiting, but still found time for the ballroom floor, an outstanding piano recital by a young man off to college in the fall to study piano, and work.

Frank congratulations on making it to post #256 – I shall miss the weekly lists of celebrations. I watched four of the five videos today [having seen the hand man play popcorn before.]
I enjoyed three of them and came away much educated! I did not know it was so easy to twirl my tassles nor how dangerous it can be to pass wind on a battlefield. And I really enjoyed hearing those two young men make one guitar sound so happily. I have to go make some pasties now …….

Pauline,
Glad you enjoyed the videos. 256 posts in this series is a lot of Mondays! Given your artistic talent & creativity, your pasties could become in great demand.

Oh Frank! Talk about going out with a swing and a bang! You are too much. Killing myself laughing here. Twirling tassels and farting “dead men”… Will admit to only lasting through 20 seconds of “Popcorn Hands”!
On a more serious note, MASH had to have one of the most gut-wrenching last one… “Keep that chicken quiet!”
Soooo… what to celebrate this week? I’ll go for saying something nice, Hazelnut Cake Day and Cognac (as long as it’s the really, REALLY good stuff!
Have a fantastic week, Monsieur Frank!

Good morning, Frank!
Oh Lord no! Pre 3 children maybe!
I could never drink the stuff until I participated in a tasting – discovered that the $100+ bottles were a whole ‘nother thing!

Ah ha … you take some Remy (and others). Amazing how smooth high-end can taste … well, compared to the cheap stuff.

Of course…when I worked at Corby Distilleries (best job ever until they moved to Toronto 😑) we had a Ruffino wine night with the gorgeous Afolfo Ruffino himself….*shake myself off*…
Anyway, the evening ended with ny first taste of it! I’ve had it occasionally since…

Seems you were a little smitten about Mr. Ruffino. 😉 Grappa is different. My cousin’s son in Italy makes his own.

Oh hello! ALL the women were drooling over that tall drink of water (a good 6’4″)…
Mick had an Italian supplier who plied us with his wine and grappa. Good stuff!

Twirling tassels, huh? You know how to find the videos! Who knows? If I were about thirty years younger perhaps the tutorial would have come in handy! And I’ll do my very best to avoid any need to celebrate the Heimlich Maneuver! You’re retiring the Monday morning edition with a high note, Frank!

I’m going to miss these Monday reports, Frank. How will I learn what to celebrate each day? And just as an aside, why would I want to celebrate itches on Wednesday, Frank? I am not sure that by mid-week I haven’t already scratched myself bloody…
I loved the job interview film! Loads of fun.

Regarding Wednesday, you never know when, what, where, (let alone why) the itch occurs … so embrace it.
The gathering the celebrations have been fun. Sometime in the future, I will post (in the Shorts) some of the sources I used.
Gotta love Greg Hahn’s comedy work. He is a bit hyper!

Only had time for one video and I chose the twirling tassels. What an education! Looks so easy. Now all I need is some body tape and a couple of tassels. 😀 Have a great week.
