Meals: The Musical – The Song List

Readers have wondered if this would ever be done, but here it is – the first-ever song list of a musical. For those wanting to make a collection of recordings, a note of caution – this list contains 267 songs. A big shout-out to The Producer for leading this production. More importantly, many thanks to everyone for their contribution in creating the one of the best song lists about food in one place that I’ve seen.

  1. Ah, the inveterate List-Maker 😀
Wonder how you do it… how many hours/days would it take me, I wonder. You must have a remarkable quick-thinking, fast-read-access drive up there on top of your shoulders 😀

    • Cynthia,
I constructed the list as we went, so it wasn’t hard to put together … but oh yes – once I noticed the entirety of the list – Wow! Thanks for your efforts in making the musicals successful.

Who would have thunk it was that many songs. I can’t imagine the length of the song list for Time & Life! You’ve been a loyal participant in these for some time, so thanks to your contributions. At least I didn’t challenge you to identify your songs just from the list. 😉

  2. It is impressive to see them all laid out like this – I wish I had the time to listen to them all in one go and see if they actually tell a story – -wouldn’t that be something if we all got that clever!! Good job Frank – you are a genius at making interactive blog posts!

    • Pauline,
Thanks for the kind words, but to me, this is a salute to the contributors as yourself who provided the songs .. and if one took the approximate 16-17 hours to hear the music, there’s got to be a story.

      • I did the unthinkable, Frank: I published a post about my pile of hell. We’re just about ready to leave Manhattan. I guess. There is still so much left to do. We’ve been working mega hours. I could sleep solidly for a month I’m so exhausted.

        • I just received the notification about the post … on my way soon. Lack of sleep is not good — but even more so for someone who cherishes it. Hopefully you are getting extra dollars for your efforts! Thanks for the update! … and hang in there!!!!

        • Thanks pal! Once we finish the Manhattan side of this agony, we move onto setting up shop in LIC. That should be a sequel to this hell. This monster of a DIY move has completely overtaken my life.

    I am amazed. Simply amazed.

    • Sarah,
Being relatively new to these parts, you may not be familiar with the blog musicals … but most of these the readers contributed, and yes – many songs I didn’t know either … but in that, I discovered many good songs.

    • Robin,
Belief it or not, not that hard because I was compiling after every act. Nonetheless, there is a sense of grandeur when seeing it all together. I can’t imagine what the song lists for Time and Life would be like. Thanks for your contributions!!!

  4. Oh wow, I thought you made up some of these titles, but after Googling several, I see you didn’t! How you came up with them all, I’ll never know. I also know I probably won’t be downloading the song ‘Broccoli’ anytime soon. 😉 (I gave it a listen on You Tube. Ha!) But I still like eating broccoli!
