Welcome to my 2015 Holiday Party for my friends, their guests, and whoever stops by this weekend!
In the spirit of the holiday season, this gathering is for everyone: Christians, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Atheists, Agnostics, and others. I say everyone because I’m a firm believer that the majority of the world is good – and in spite of all the crap we get from the news each and every day, the WordPress community helps prove my point … so peace and goodwill to the global community of goodness!
My wish is for guests get a gift and mingle with others – which also means gifts can be traded!
Come back to mingle with the guest and watch available entertainment.
This is going to be a bit crazy for both readers and your host, so I request your patience! … but make sure you read the Overview and Directions below the next video.
Overview
- Behind each number is a surprise gift. *
- Once the number (gift) is taken, it’s no longer available (so state your number in the comment)’
- While I hope to strike-through taken numbers, I do have to sleep and run errands – so I request readers check the comments for taken numbers. (See the Update note above the numbers for my progress).
Directions
- Pick (click) an available number for your surprise gift.
- In your comment, type your number (hopefully on its own line so all can see it) and tell everyone about your gift.
Positive cheers to all in the spirit goodness for the season! Have fun!!!!

I picked #10, and Wow thank you Frank for the purple LED fingertip gloves. They are perfect for when I eventually want to build myself a backyard igloo. I said eventually because we have no snow here with our spring-like temperatures.

And what did I receive? A time-warp clock. Misshaped and odd looking wall clock. Warped – get it? Anyway, time-warp me back to Wrigley Field, June 1969 so I can watch Billy Williams roam left field and take his swings in the middle of the Cubs lineup.

I got a Big Mouth Billy Bass! My friends would say it was rather appropriate, lol.
Number 32 . . .Magic Johnson, It’s a lucky number for me.
Hey Frank, my better writing half told me to drop by your Holiday party and I am glad I was able to make it. Very busy weekend, and this is a nice way to wind down for the evening. So thank you for always supplying the cheer, regardless of the calendar date.
Love Mariah’s Christmas stuff. Love it!
Have an amazing holiday week!

Cayman,
I need you would make it! Thanks for causing smiles at this end … which also go well with the Bengal bounce-back win.
The singing bass is perfect … and hey … it sings two songs! Somehow I’m going to have to find a way to remember #32 for next year. 😉 ..
Carrots said you were very busy, so I appreciate the effort … and glad it caused a laugh.

Anyways, was just saying thank you for the much needed laugh, and I was happy to hear that your Bengals won!

Now that’s an excellent party gift … but I’ve always heard that Texans don’t drink shots. 😉

I picked #44 and got a Y’all Need Jesus t-shirt. Geez (heh, heh), Frank, thanks!! This was most appropriate for me, simply because I believe that ever so many people need to be reminded that His simple message Trumps (heh, heh) all the current hateful rhetoric going around these days.
Nice to see everybody, even if I’m late to the party. Mele Kalikimaka to all!

Jim,
LMAO … That’s a good one. But as you know, there are several problems with that selection …. first and foremost #44 is taken – so another choice is required. I won’t mention the other issue … after all, it keeps readers guessing.
Meanwhile, thanks for the toast of a bit of Bing … wonderful!

Will run by again to rummage through the wrapping paper…Molly keeps taking off with the discarded bows that were tossed aside here and has package decor stuck all over her! Nothing merrier… freakin’ the FedEx guy out…you know he’s already bound to be having nightmares of mounds and piles of packages …

FedEx, UPS, USPS, etc … workers got to be going nuts – just like Molly. 😉 … We’re missing a package, and who knows where it is. Oh well … time will tell.

We’ve one to go…did you see the news story about robots in the Amazon warehouse? Technology is amazing.
Now the post office…I just got a piece of mail sent Nov 11….not too critical, but not getting directives done by Dec, 1.. It is what it is

In terms of the USPS, I still look at the overall success rate, thus it remains one of the great bargains of the day. I give them much more slack than a delivery service placing the wrong package at the wrong door – which I tend to think that careless haste is the reason.

No doubt a regional thing as far as USPS delivery record…right now anything left anywhere outside is at risk. Shoppers unclear on the way to the malls are following delivery trucks and as a package is delivered and the truck leaves, someone jumps out, runs to the porch, and snatches the boxes. A new holiday shopping tradition! Lots and lots of video footage on home security cams. Since Thanksgiving, UPS/FedEx./USPS recommending here you have packages sent to office instead of home this year.
We are determined to Merry On under any conditions!

Very good recommendation about sending packages to the delivery office.

Too much pressure for that perfect holiday image has created this? Like parents pressuring a kid for grades until they see no out but to cheat.
Bright hopes for the new year: peace and contentment. Smile on, Frank. Bright stars guide the way.

We went on a walk with the specific purpose to locate the package. We found it on the doorstep of a neighbor who is gone for the holidays. (So it has been there for several days) Our addresses differ by the middle number. … But I’m not remaining on hold for who knows how long to tell FedEx … but I have sent Customer Service an email to call off the search.

In general, the delivery isn’t the problem … those stealing are … but in this case, the wrong address (but the label was correct).

You’d get a laugh at some of the home security footage from last Aug when several delivery drivers from different companies were filmed chunking packages like Hail Mary football passes from curb to porch, and basketball hoop slam style. You could hear the breakage. Embarrassed companies fired drivers. Must have scolded them good as no new incidents of package tosses have been seen recently.
“Christmas Eve Gift.” Beat ya…ok it’s technically not 6 pm here, but…old (Southern?) tradition. Whoever says it first not only wins (important to kids), but has good luck next year. So just a heads-up for your afternoon! Merry Christmas!

First off, thanks for providing me the go-to website to start my Christmas shopping next year. It will combine perfectly with my annual trip to Yellow Springs, OH, to purchase politically incorrect bumper stickers and refrigerator magnets for my relatives. 46 is my pick. The Bullshit button will come in handy to call out people for stretching the truth, giving me the run around, or refusing to follow the money. All the best in 2016!
