Unfortunately, 1,900 is not divisible by 64. Too bad because that would have been a great coincidence of celebrating the 1,900th post milestone on my 64th birthday. Seems like good rational to bypass the latest edition of Opinion in the Shorts.

Celebrate the events with one of my favorites. Which one to you chose?

  1. “Avenue Sixty-Four – a boutique wedding venue in Brisbane, Australia” ~~ really? My daughter, who got married last November, went wedding dress shopping in Brisbane (about an hours drive north of here) but I think she missed that shop.

Happiest Birthday, Frank! At the beginning of this post, I thought you must have been a mathematician in a previous lifetime – by the end of the post I realised that I will never think of the number 64 in the same way again. 🙂

Thanks so much for the celebration music. “Sweet City Woman” is my pick of your favourites, a great song to bop around to.

    • Joanne,
Thank you for the birthday greeting from Australia … my first for this day! 🙂 I usually do a tribute to a number around a celebration of some sort (birthdays, anniversaries, etc). I enjoy gathering information that is bountiful feast of mindless minutia. Your comment about the store in Brisbane made me laugh. You’ll have to check to see if it is still there. Gotta love Sweet City Woman!

  2. Ach! I didn’t have time to look at my emails so I almost missed this one! Happiest of birthdays, Signore Frank! The year of my birth, and your birthday… hmmm…. Hope your day was splendiferous (had I been on the ball, during our banter this morning on my blog, I would have wished you a most happy birthday at a proper hour!)
    Lotsa love,
    Dale

  3. Happily Birthday Frank! One more year, and you can join the ranks of the idle rich. 😉 I’ll take care of the idle, if you can handle the ‘rich.’
Shouldn’t there be 69 Kama Sutra positions??! Just sayin’.
Stampeders is a great Canadian band, and I’m a Moody Blues fan, just not thrilled with that particular cut, but I love that Hollies song, especially the double intro – which DJs too often edited off, or talked over. 😥

  4. Happy Birthday Frank. I’ll submit a 64 as the number of teams that should be in the NCAA Basketball Tournament each year. The perfect number for a perfect bracket…ruined by desire and greed for more revenue. That’s the way of the world. Song selection is Long Cool Woman but I Know You’re Out There Somewhere was a very close runner-up. (Sounds like I need to re-read the Kama Sutra again…I apparently lost count)

    • Bruce,
Thank you for the greetings. I can say the day was a good one.

Thanks for the 64 teams in March Madness. I can’t believe I missed that one. On retrospect, I totally missed “Sports” as category (one that I usually do). Probably due to haste.

Good choice of songs. Loved the Moody Blues in concert! I’ll be watching for a book review of your re-read on your blog.

  5. LOL! I love the way I’m never on time. First I wished you Happy Birthday too, early. Now it is a belated wish. The thing is, Frank, early, late or just plain in between; I wish you a happy day, everyday!

    • Resa,
I accept belated birthday greetings, especially from the bloggers I hold in high regards. As you can tell, I held that until the end. 🙂

BTW … glad you enjoyed the washing machine song in OITS. 😀
