On Projecting Color

There’s a camera …

… a camera displaying colors across the building.

At the far end of the building we find ET.

Another colorful array exists in the opposite corner …

… as well as beautiful designs behind the camera

A patch serves as a hint of the one behind the colors ….

… his face looming large in black and white … but he was a quiet man with a large place in history

The man is an astronaut in a colorful spacesuit …

… holding the camera as he stands on the moon.

Thanks to Resa (Toronto’s leading lady) whose posts about street art in Toronto and Winnipeg, got me interested in outdoor art in my area. I invite readers to visit Resa’s blog (and tell her I sent you).

    • Pauline,
Armstrong was from a small town in about 2 hours north of here (Wapakopeta), but spent much of his post-astronaut life in Cincinnati. Glad you enjoyed this colorful array with a touch of Brazilian color.

  1. Fabulous, Frank! I really enjoy seeing your city’s murals.
The art concept behind this one is outstanding. I thought the Rosemary Clooney mural had an A+ concept as well.
    4 posts away from my 1000th! (but who’s counting 😀 )
As always, I am thrilled to have a shout out from you! I really feel we are mural buddies!
Once my Gala is over, after Halow’een, and before Christmas, I was going to tie to a post of mine to one of yours. However, now I think I shall tie to an enhanced concept!
    Have a wonderful weekend, Frank!

    • Resa,
Thanks for the kind words … and for getting me interested in posting these! For this one, the Brazilian touch of color makes this one jump! Meanwhile, linking and working with you is always a pleasure, so cheers to our efforts!

  2. Debra,
I recall ET’s inclusion surprised me when I first saw it. Like you, I love the love … and the B&W face for Armstrong. BTW – I think it was a space post was my first visit to comment on your blog.
