On a Weekend Concert with the Moody Blues

Moody Blues

The Producer’s Guidelines

  1. Only songs the Moody Blues
  2. Songs by individual members outside the group are not acceptable
  3. No duplicate songs
  4. Include the song title in your introduction text so others can see it
  5. To prevent browsers crashing from loading too many videos, please paste the URL as part of your last line (not a new line) – (I do not mind unembedding, so no apologies are necessary)

For me, this is the perfect opening song for this concert at my little corner of the world – Lovely to See You

  1. Good morning!
Okay so Frank knows that I, (even being an 80s child, but to be fair a 90s teenager) I had no idea who the Moody Blues were lol.
But after a quick little Googly Google I realised I knew ONE song.
I thought for sure if I didn’t get here early someone would have already snapped it up. But they haven’t!
So I am choosing Nights in White Satin. Classic and so sweet and romantic. https://youtu.be/9muzyOd4Lh8. I actually adore the lyrics. They are beautiful and speak to my little poet inside so happy to be able to add it here. Also I’ll be doing some Moody Blues homework after this…
    Fiery ♥

  2. I had 5 songs ready to go! One is left! Ah, the trials of not getting out of bed early on Saturday!
Heck, I just realized they didn’t write it, but they did popularize it. Nonetheless it was done by the band as a whole, The Moody Blues. Lots of interesting history behind this song. The front man who sang on the original recording, left the band. He eventually turfed up in Wings!
Anyway, red button or not: Go Now https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7SLxITAw8T0as performed by a very young The Moody Blues.

  3. To The Producer: Lovely To See You was also on my list. For some reason your link doesn’t play here. It says “Playback on other websites has been disabled by the video owner.” However, there is a link to watch it on YouTube. “Watch this video on YouTube.”

  4. Hey guys…sorry I’m very late. It’s been a super hectic, wild day. I’m not that familiar with The Moody Blues music, and the already identified songs were the ones I did know. In keeping with this weekend’s partial lunar eclipse, my video contribution is the cut “Gypsy.” I don’t think I’d ever heard this song before. The vid is kind of “kaleidoscopey,” almost trippy. Don’t think it was previously noted (if it was, apologies-I’m not a YouTube guru and hope the copying of the link works like it’s supposed to). Happy weekend. Hope you’re not too buried in the white stuff. https://youtu.be/wWuwUhSis1U
