On Blind Inspiration

The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision. (Helen Keller)

To be blind is not miserable; not to be able to bear blindness, that is miserable. (John Milton)

Enthusiasm is excitement with inspiration, motivation, and a pinch of creativity. (Bo Bennett)

Just do it. (Nike slogan)

As inspirational as the above quotes are, they don’t do this person justice.

On Exploring an Inspirating Mind

I hope you enjoyed the first edition of my short Exploring series. From Frank Lloyd Wrights FallingWaters, let us now explore inspiration.

All of us get inspired. After all, it is the desire or trigger to get something done. Each of us have different triggers, and react differently to the same stimulus.

Artists, authors, researchers, leaders, composers, explorers, inventors, and problem solvers are a few of the people who use inspiration for achieving at a higher level.

As you watch this video, think of inspiration’s synonyms as creativity, inventiveness, imagination, originality, ingenuity, and innovation.

After watching it, please share your thoughts.

On Seeds

Seedsa seemingly simple biological design for promoting the continuation of a species that also displays beauty, yet its complexity also serves as a useful metaphor

Flashbacks: On Good Stories, Good People

All of us recognize that news is full of bad news. However, many good stories and good people exist. Enjoy, visit as many as you want, and I hope you comment on the post you visited.

On an Awesome Start

With Thanksgiving 2012, how did you celebrate the holiday?

We went cross state to my sister-in-law’s for a few days. Besides the grand meal and visit, we went downtown Cleveland for our first-ever visit to the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame. Interesting place … but because we had limited time, we actually needed more time to enjoy some of the films. Also experienced a little snow on the way back to the house.

Nonetheless, we avoided the major shopping venues both here and there – but I did purchase 20 gallons of gas priced at 10.9 CENTS per gallon!

Because this is a back-to-normal week, might as well start with something abnormal – a drummer with no hands and limited arms. (Thank you Fasab for finding this one, and sorry this is a late edit.) Hope everyone has a good week!
