Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young
The Producer’s Guidelines
- Only songs performed by Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young
Note: At least 2 of the 4 must be credited with performing the song (no soloists) - No duplicate songs
- Include the song title in your introduction text so others can see it
- One song per person (on Day 1)
- To prevent browsers crashing from loading too many videos, please paste the URL as part of your last line (not a new line) – (I do not mind unembedding, so no apologies are necessary)
Note: Return on Day 2 to submit more songs without limits. (My typical signal is posting a song for all attendees.)
“Suite Judy Blue Eyes”
Next Concert: Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young – the soloists (Date, tentatively 27th July)
Past Concerts (Category): Beatles, Ex-Beatles, Moody Blues, Queen, Neil Diamond, Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Aretha Franklin, Carole King, Elton John, Billy Joel
I was thinking I wasn’t going to make it tonight so I watched a movie 😉
Excellent choice, Frank.
Sooo many songs to choose from. Of course I wanted to use one that included Young and Carry On is the one I have chosen, though I have been reading that maybe he did not participate in this one. Oh well! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nP0VBB7BO64

Fabulous song. It was a finalist when considering the opener, but it’s a tad too personal. The Kent event was in the spring of my HS junior year – and thoughts of that day remained strong while in college. It took a while for Kent to rebound, but it has.
A better script couldn’t have been written for the Angels game!

The song is so tragically intertwined with the monumental losses of that period in our history.
The numbers that came out of that game are downright eerie.

That era was crazy. 1968 was unquestionably one of the most turbulent years in history. Unreal … and 1970 is the same era.
In terms of the game, and to think today would have been his 28th birthday.

Unlike any era in modern times, in my humble opinion.
7 runs scored in the first, 13 overall. 7/13 was his birthday. Whoa.

Day two and I’m baaaaack. Don’t recall Guinevere being played (I could easily still be asleep) so am offering it from the self titled 1969 album. Written by David Crosby about three women that he loved. One, Christine Hinton, his longtime girlfriend was killed in a tragic accident while taking her two cats to the vet (one of the cats pounced on her, causing the Volkswagen to lose control and crash into a school bus), one was Joni Mitchell and the other one is someone he won’t reveal. Interesting little back story. Happy Sunday.

Also, they were really good looking guys with angelic voices and harmonies, but most of all they were romantic! I still listen to their music and am struck by the sweetness of the romanticism in their lyrics; not many contemporary pop songs have that anymore. Three voices and a guitar, no need for “production”, just talent. I’m glad I lived in those “crazy times”, Frank 🙂
