Although I’m recovering from various aspects of life, I’m trying to ease myself back into the Land of WordPress. It’s not easy. Besides getting back into the swing of my life as a volunteer, ballroom dancer, blogger, and whatever else life brings my why, I’m suffering from jet lag and a withdraw from a travel med that is a story in itself. After all, this is where I’ve been.
When cruising, I use the TransDerm patch (Scapalomine) for my motion sickness. It works well, but there is one possible side effect that I’m the lucky recipient … I get motion sickness 36-48 hours after coming off the drug – Woo Hoo! … and it’s very, very bad!!!!
I’ve learned to use over-the-counter meds to step-down the body, but also during this time, I must limit my computer time because the flashing screen quickly aggravates motion sickness … as does watching television, driving a car, and (or course) moving in a circle. In other words, no fun.
But hey – life will be normal soon – which means time to use this button.
Oh dear Frank, I can almost understand you, I hope you, to be fine as before soon. I am so glad to hear you, welcome. Thanks and Love, nia

Welcome back. Hope you feel better soon! That is awful to have motion sickness as a side effect of using something for motion sickness. When I was a child, my mom always dosed us with the disgusting Dramamine liquid before we got on a plane.
I have friends who have been in Spain and Portugal recently. I’m sure you had a great time.

Great hearing from you! You are correct about the watching football. Not only Saturday, but also Sunday … especially Sunday was that is when the effect started to kick in. I would have a game on, but it was more about listening with glances while cleaning the house. You are also right that the fact that I’m on the computer must mean I’m doing much better – and I’m considering it to be over! Do you have a moving date?

To get over your motion sickness med withdrawal as quickly as possible (1) avoid looking at Donald Trump’s poll numbers on your computer, (2) avoid watching Fox News on TV.
In addition, (1) let me drive on Saturday, and (2) avoid circular routes around Nippert Stadium looking for a restroom.

On the cruise ship, access to US news was limited, so I had to stomach bits of Fox News, but I’m back into natural avoidance mode … and I still maintain Trump isn’t going to be the nominee.

Cruising is a great way to see bites. After all, most ports are only 8-5. But I consider it as a travelling hotel, thus pack/unpack once. On this cruise we were lucky to have overnight days in Barcelona, Lisbon, and Malaga – which allows one to see/do more. Plus we plan an extra day in Barcelona before and after the cruise. … now go ahead to the Walktober post.

Dear aFrank,
Sorry about the sea sickness. I must say I am blessed that I don’t have that going on when I cruise(17 – now, since our last one). I’m sure you’ve looked into many meds. Eventually, they should have a real good one for you.
Now flying, on the other, hand is my nemesis. My tummy tumbles around and becomes an olympic gymnast. Everyone has something. 😄
The ports all sound great. I can’t wait to read more. I would love to go to these ports but the flights turn me off. I’ll enjoy you travel and will be perfectly happy with that.
Glad you’re back ….
