The Story
Meals: The Musical is an original aFa production is about an important aspect of daily life – eating.
Whether it is snack, something on the run, a glorious sit-down feast, or something in between and regardless of the time of day, food is a life necessity. There are three aspects to a truly fantastic meal: the food, the occasion, and the company. We know Meals: The Musical is a festive occasion where friends gather to share wonderful music – thus the acts will focus on what the dining friends will encounter.
Program (Past Posts)
Act 1: Meals
Act 2: Fruit
Act 3: Side Dishes
Act 4: Meat
Many use a meat dishes as the main course, but other incorporate meat into dishes. Then again, some diners prefer meatless. Nonetheless, this act is all about meat, so song titles must include a meat in the title
Producer’s Note: As a guideline, let a typical menu serve as a guide. Menu will include items as sausage, pork, bacon, and ham – but that doesn’t make pig(s) as an acceptable. The producer does not consider seafood or any meat-substitute as meat.
Production Note
To prevent browsers crashing from loading too many videos, please 1) include the song title and artist in your text, and 2) paste the URL as part of your last line (not a new line). The latter will provide a link, thus not embed the actual video … but I don’t mind unembedding, so apologies are not necessary.

A very entertaining clip, Frank. I also have chicken on the menu with South Africa’s Eve Boswell singing ‘Pickin’ a Chicken’, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1SQSysLTDbk
I went to Eve for singing lessons in the late 1970’s, early 80’s. I remember she had a couple of miniature poodles, and was always drinking Rooibos tea with honey and lemon. She had some success as a pop singer in Britain in the 1950’s, and it’s believed that the Bette Davis film ‘All about Eve’ was based on her story.

X,
The producer told me to tell you that he felt sorry that Fasab took your song … which as you noted, is a unique double play … and he realized you become desperate with your choice of the Chicken Dance song. …. and he envisions that such desperation could easily drive one to hit the bottle or run to the local lounge where you may have heard Charlie Mingus play Goodbye Pork Pie Hat. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5IsNHDuwJrM … Did you see Mickey Spillane sitting in the corner?

Actually, it wasn’t an act of desperation. I had a more straightforward choice of John Lennon’s Cold Turkey, but I figured that a dance could add some variety to your musical. 🙂

I haven’t ever, ever seen Raccoon on a menu … never …. besides, the producer searched your story … and according to the LA Times … that is your local paper of great authority … which stated the health department ordered the market to remove raccoon from the shelves … thus no more Rocky Kabobs.
Therefore, besides receiving the buzzer, the producer is ordering you to listen to this tie to the Fab 4 – Chicken Pot Pie (Weird Al Yankovic) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F3JXNut-wO0. … But knowing that I’m much kinder than the the producer, I’m following your Fab 4 lead with Beef Jerky (John Lennon). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GwGhldo_b5U … it’s quite the tap-tapping tone.

I must protest your decision, Mr. Producer. This has been a HUGE topic of conversation from more sources than just the Los Angeles Times. I listen to a cooking show on the radio every Saturday and right after the raccoons were found in the Temple City store (five minutes from my house) everyone was a-buzz. And the experts that came on the show verified that raccoon is eaten across the United States, and although I can’t recall the statistics, it was in huge demand and shockingly well accepted.
So although I can’t verify it is sold at restaurants, I don’t believe restaurants were a part of the instructions, unless I missed that. I have a history of arguing with college professors about true/false questions, and I have a 100% success record with my arguments. My son didn’t become an attorney by accident you know!
So I am appealing the Producer’s decision with these three links, each providing credibility to my claims, I believe.

Nice to come back for this. With this challenge I discovered 2 things, one is that if you to YouTube and type “loins” a bunch of videos of lions come up. Good my fellow dyslexic are out there. I completely understand your comment regarding seafood. The answer is a similar to the tomato dilemma … a biological fruit but not a nutritional fruit, thus a nutritional vegetable. The producer desires a seafood act, but he is concerned with the number of available songs.

Just checked out your recipe and while the ingredients are mostly the same, mine takes 40 days to make!!! I don’t use the fine zester, I use a potato peeler (making sure to remove any pith that tries to join the party) so it’s more large pieces. I also use both grain alcohol and vodka (or just vodka when I can’t find the other!) The rest is pretty much the same, though. Oh, and more lemons…

I’ve done the 40 days … also did a version in a week – Unsure how much a difference the 40 days make – thus splitting the difference to 2-3 weeks.
I friend does a twist – he transfers the zest when preparing the simple sugar. That draws out the pectin, which will give more of a cloudy appears and some settling. I don’t like the fact that it then must be shaken.
Cheers!
