    • Patti,
Who knows how many times I watched Gomez & Morticia when I was putting this together! Meanwhile, there’s what I call the Blogger’s Dilemma – the balance between posting, commenting, and visiting others … and I currently sense being in the Bermuda Triangle of the Blogger’s Dilemma … but I will make it! Thanks for stopping by for the show.

      • Agreed, Gomez was a great character especially as portrayed by John Astin in the tv series. And I think you are probably correct in that the younger generation only know the movie versions, which were ok, but not a patch on the original tv series.
Piece of trivia that I’m sure know, the whole idea was created by cartoonist Charles Addams, wonder what they would have called the show if his name had been Bert 😉

    • Leo,
In case you didn’t see the movie, their is an opening scene before these opening credits. That said, as soon as I saw the credits, I had to look for it! Thanks for stopping by!

    • Paradise,
I can always count on you for the handbells! 🙂 … We played that one several years ago, and it is a beautiful tune. Interesting how the melody and change ringing are blended .. thus very fitting for these images. … and yes, how can the Matt video not make one smile. Many thanks for watching!

  1. I love Adele so that was the first one I watched and liked. And there can not be enough said for the Addams family! I never did watch the movies though. I love the tv series. I also liked the Skylight one, that was cool!

  2. Hi,
I watched the quotes and the timelapse video, the timelapse was my favourite, it is just wonderful how people put these timelapse videos together for us to enjoy, really nice.

  3. That was an interesting choice of 3 Stooges video. They did a movie about the boys back in 2000, with Michael Chiklis playing Curly. He redid that scene, and as a lifelong Stoogeophile, it is an AMAZING re-enactment, with Michael getting every nuance, gesture and “Curlyism” down perfectly! (I haven’t seen the most recent film, so I’ll withhold judgement on those guys.)
The time-lapse is cool, and I WILL be back for the carillon. (Still catching up – almost done! Then my dedicated fans – both of them – can see some new posts!)

    • Sir John Stoogeophile,
I’ve patiently waiting for your arrival to see this one. Plus, I have been able to successfully uncover some Michael Chikilis as Curly for you … and the scene you mentioned is around the 2 minute mark.Enjoy … an thanks for stopping by.

  4. Oh, Frank, this was a wonderful multi-course feast! From the introspective bells of Divinum Mysterium (a personal fav) to the crazy Curly soup fiasco to the spirit lifting “Where’s Matt” world wide dance celebration, you made my day! I must say that, though I shed some tears of joy over the Matt video, I completely cracked up over the Curly clip. When I was a little girl, my brothers babysat me when my parents would go out. The moment they were gone, we were watching The Three Stooges together. The triumvirate of my childhood TV influences were The Three Stooges, The Little Rascals, and Mighty Mouse. Thanks for a cry and a laugh, just what I needed today!

    • Lynn,
Wow … that’s quite the range, but it is obvious that each sparked a different moment in your life. Glad I was able to do that … but for me, many thanks for sharing your moments!!!

  5. Curly and the tribute to Gomez and Morticia were my videos of choice Frank. I appreciated Curly’s responsibility with using a firearm to kill his soup and I forgot about Gomez being such an arm-man. Thanks for posting.

    • Lame,
Those are two great videos involves 2 classic characters. I imagine most of those arm advances involved Tish saying something in French. Thanks for finding some gems in the closet.

  8. Congrats on the Freshly Pressed frank – it’s quite a stunner when it happens. I hit that page about 2 years ago which occassioned a tsunami of comments and hits (but I never got even near your 350). The experience kind of spoiled me for a while – in my naivette, I thought the hits would keep coming at that rate (which they didn’t of course)!

Been meaning to tell you that you’ve been doing a bang up job here. This place gets better all the time.
