Music has been an important part of my little corner of the world for a long time – unquestionably, the majority of the 11+ years. From holiday parties to blog musicals to weekend concerts, to sending readers into the weekend with a song, embedding music in many other posts, and even sharing handbell music – music has been a common bond between you and I. Because of the role music has played here, music is the right choice to serve as the kickoff to my closing celebration.
The Producer’s Guidelines
- Leave me a song (supply SONG TITLE (all caps) and the artist)
- As you mingle with others, leave them a song (SONG TITLE in all caps)
- No duplicate songs
- Have fun by listening to other songs
LOVELY TO SEE YOU AGAIN (Moody Blues)

Adore this song! I know all of Van’s work. Lol! I was on a job where they allowed us to listen to music. I was closest to the CD player and kept playing Van Morrison’s albums, and the soundtrack from Evita.
There was a group intervention, and the CD player was off limits to me after that. 😀 I’ll be back with a song for you. I just got here. 😀

Here’s a true and funny.
In younger days, I had a good pal whose father was part owner of a recording studio. One day “Flo and Eddie” (2 of the members from the Turtles) were in town, and a TV station was doing an interview at this recording station. My pal invited me.
The anchor of the show had worse than a tin ear, he had an iron ear, and no feel.
In the interview Flo & Eddie kept trying to get him into the song. It went on for hours…note by note… word by word.
It was hysterical. They never got one decent note/word out of the interviewer, but I had the best time, and I got to meet Flo & Eddie.

😀 … Enjoyed + Didn’t know = Awesome! It’s an oldie – out of the 70s (maybe early 80s). A quick story about the song. I went into a stereo store to listen to speakers. When asked about the type of music I listen to, I said a wide range – so he put this one – but it was on a high-grade vinyl (which were expensive albums). My eyes lit up and I never forgot it. Years later when CDs were the choice of play, that was the first CD I ever bought.
